Galaxy 36: Binara Matrix

The time rifts are closed, but another tear has appeared. It does not lead to another era: it leads to another world. The first is made of squares, light and data.

Your heroes land on Pixelia. Their outlines start to crackle.

On Octetia, data flows like rivers of light. Every drop is a memory, an image, a calculation. Something is corrupting them at the source.

A river of light turns red. An error message appears in the sky.

Bugs swarm through the code of Boguia. They gnaw at everything they touch, and multiply endlessly. They always strike where the code is weakest.

The ground cracks into lines of digits. Green insects crawl out.

A firewall bars the road to the heart of the matrix. Its guardians block anything that is not authorized. You are not authorized.

A wall of orange flames rises. A voice repeats: “Access denied.”

On Virulia, a virus rewrites everything it touches. Mountains become towers, rivers become walls. It is already trying to rewrite your heroes.

A violet wave sweeps across the planet. Your weapons flicker for a moment.

Server towers line up as far as the eye can see on Serveuria. They hold the memory of the entire matrix. One of them has been watching you since you arrived.

Every light on the towers comes on at once. They follow you.

At the center of the matrix beats the Core, the heart of Binara. It kept this world alive in peace, before it was corrupted. Something from elsewhere slipped into its code. Since then, it no longer protects the matrix: it devours it. It deploys shields on its defenders faster than they can be broken. Its bugs, its viruses and its firewalls serve it endlessly. Deep in its code, something repeats a single word: “Vivara”.

The Corrupted Core flares a violent pink. “Intrusion detected.”
