Galaxy 26: Storm of Voltarne

On Fulgura, a thunderstorm has lasted a thousand years. Lightning strikes there endlessly, and elementals are born from it. Nothing metallic survives there for long.

A bolt strikes ten steps away. It gets up, and it has a shape.

The thunder of Tonitra drowns out orders and screams. You fight there without hearing your allies. The cloud warriors, however, understand each other without a word.

The thunder rumbles. Grey figures burst out of the clouds.

The cloud warriors of Nuéa burst out of the lightning. They strike with the thunder and vanish with it. They never touch the ground.

A flash. A grey warrior stands before you, spear raised.

The lightning elementals of Voltia take you for a lightning rod. They hurl themselves at anything that conducts electricity. Your armour conducts very well.

The air crackles. Your armour sizzles. The elementals come running.

Cyclonia is the eye of the cyclone, and its calm is deceptive. The wind spins around you there without ever touching you. Until the Titan decides to close it.

The calm is total. Then the wall of wind closes in.

The storm golems of Orageon guard the Titan's peak. Made of black cloud and lightning, they strike like thunder. They are the last line before the summit.

The peak rises in the storm. Its guardians have eyes of lightning.

Voltarne is the top of the world, and the Titan of Storms reigns there. He unleashed the storm a thousand years ago, and he has never stopped it. His axe calls down the lightning, and the lightning strikes all your heroes at once. Golems, elementals, cloud warriors: all are born from his storm. Every century, the storm spreads a little further across the galaxy. Command wants the storm stopped before it reaches the neighbouring worlds. You will have to hold under the lightning and strike between two flashes.

The Titan raises his axe. The lightning follows.
